What the map shows — and does not

  • Boundaries are shown for districts and second-level units; points mark each seat locality, not its legal boundary; 37 points are district-level approximations and are labelled as such.
  • Local leader data come from Central Electoral Commission results and the sources linked on each record. Population keeps its census year (mostly 2014) and is not a current estimate.
  • The “Proposed 2027 regions” layer is an orientation sketch of the administrative reform; the official map of the 273 proposed administrative units is published by the Government.
  • Transnistria and Bender are shown in grey as areas not under constitutional control.
